Establishment of the Indian Army Pre-1947
It is started with the armies of the British East india company during the 18th centuries,where modern indian army roots lies on the british army.IN 1776 the East india company started/formed military departments in india’s state like Calcutta , Madras and Bombay. NOW these presidency armies later are identify as the British Indian army.
IN 19th and early 20th centuries Indian soldiers fought in several global conflicts under the British command, which including are :
